Project Description:
A two-minute stroll from the Chrysler Building stands a new skyscraper echoing the New York of old, its name, Monogram; the location, 135 East 47th Street. Finished in 2024, Monogram New York has timeless visual appeal, with vertical lines that draw you in, and up.
Inside, all the calling cards of renowned architects Neri&Hu are revealed. The floor-to-ceiling windows bathe apartments in the sunshine. Naturally, when we were approached to enhance the interiors, we were careful to consider the finishing touches that displayed all of New York’s glamour.
With the aesthetic vision clear, finding the right fitting meant everything. We opted for Ripplefold Stationary Panels on Kirsch Tracks – a pairing that allows the skyline to stand out in a soft, serene finish. Kirsch tracks facilitate an effortless, smooth glide while remaining virtually hidden from the naked eye. Rather than reshaping the building’s identity, we found a solution that aligns and supports Monogram’s iconic identity.
Quiet luxury never calls for the town’s crier, and with Monogram’s art deco sensibility, we found space in the fine details to deliver. In this attention-economy age, this project is a callback to a time that eschews the need to showcase its elegance.
