Project Description:
Before Brooklyn Tower had been completed by SHoP Architects, landmark status had already been achieved. Hexagonal, Gothic, and clad in stone, bronze, and stainless steel; this is a building that called out for harmonious design.
With interiors curated by the SoHo-based Gachot Studios and amenities by Lifetime, New York City’s premier athletic club, there was only one luxury window treatment provider ever in the picture to outfit Brooklyn Tower: New York Window Fashion.
In true Neo Deco style, Brooklyn Tower is a masterclass in refined symmetry. For our team, the challenge presented was clear: to soften, structure, and support the borough’s standout building. Uniform in appearance inside and out, Ripplefold panels on Kirsch tracks speak to the architectural vision and aesthetic. The sheer designer drapes here, which feature an S-fold stack, perfectly align aesthetics and open up stunning skyline panorama.
Founding principal of SHoP Architects, Gregg Pasquarelli considers this project the “Empire State Building of Brooklyn.” Only time will tell whether this marvel will live up to such high ambitions, but looking at Downtown Brooklyn from up here, we’re inclined to agree.
