Located on Downtown Manhattan’s waterfront, One Manhattan Square features luxury private residences with clear and expansive views of the river and Manhattan skyline.
Our client enjoyed their floor to ceiling windows and the exceptional views, but they did not like the light that entered their bedroom during the late hours and the extreme sunlight blaring in through out the day. They were also looking for a solution that can help block out harmful UV rays, help keep out heat and cold throughout the year, and was easy to operate.
Somfy, hardwired motorized shades were installed throughout the home to achieve the functionality and clean look they were looking for. The bedrooms received blackout shades in a Rollease Mesa blackout fabric, and the common area and kitchen received 3% solar shades.
The low-voltage wires were discretely installed through the conduit in each room to the AV closet and connected to a Somfy power distribution panel.
